Every batch of hemp is tested, along with each batch of extract used during the manufacturing processes of Hempura products to guarantee absolute quality. You can even search your batch code on our database. Batch numbers are displayed large on every applicable product and can be searched in the Hempura database. You may read more about our lab reports here and also see our reports database.
All our products are suitable for vegetarians, except for our chocolates due to dairy. Hempura is registered with The Vegan Society.
Hempura CBD topical cream can be used externally anywhere on the body. Ensuring the skin is dry, apply the cream to the targeted area and massage well. Each serving/ pump contains approximately 1.1mg of CBD. Simply increase amount applied to the area for higher concentrations. Do not apply to broken or sensitive skin.
Yes. All Hempura CBD products are legal for sale in the UK due to having undetectable (<0.03%) levels of CBN and THC. CBN and THC are psychoactive cannabinoids found in illegal strains of cannabis.
No. Hempura products are not tested on animals & are cruelty-free.
Yes, to make the extract vape it must undergo winterisation to completely remove all unnecessary hemp constituents such as the chlorophyll, fats, lipids etc. leaving only the cannabinoids and terpenes out of the full plant spectrum behind – giving us a broad-spectrum, refined extract. Without doing this the extract would damage the vape device.
For the refined extracts, inherently any refinement and purification process will slightly reduce the overall trace cannabinoid spectrum. This applies to all of the cannabinoids in the extract, but they are still in there at lower trace levels than the original extract. Our broad-spectrum extracts may still, in fact, contain very low THC, and overtime shows up on a drugs test.
Yes all Hempura’s oils are made using cold-pressed, food-grade, top quality hemp seed oil grown and sourced within the United Kingdom.
Yes. All our products contain undetectable levels of THC (<0.03%).
Hempura tea is manufactured from hemp and is designed to be enjoyed as a herbal tea. Lab reports are unnecessary for Hempura tea as they contain only trace levels of CBD, and are not designed for delivering CBD into the body. For safety and traceability, we provide a production batch code on all our products.
All hemp used for the manufacture of Hempura products is organically grown and is herbicide, pesticide, fungicide & GMO-free, with no harmful contaminants. Each harvest of hemp undergoes tests before purchase and importation into the UK.
All Hempura products are Gluten-Free & Vegan (except our chocolates due to dairy).
There are a few reports of amplified effects such as sleepiness or sedation if CBD is taken alongside alcohol, but please speak to a medical professional as Hempura products are sold as food supplements only.
The latest advice from the Food Standards Agency is that “those who are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking any medication are advised not to consume CBD products. This new precautionary advice is based on recent findings by the government’s Committee on Toxicity (COT).”
Whilst we do not advertise or sell our products to under 18’s, some users do inevitably give it to their children. To ensure safety, we offer this general advice: the usual uptitration dosage method should be applied as per the manual Helpful Guide to CBD from Hempura. However, due to the lower weight, we suggest you start around 3-5mg, rather than the usual 10-15mg.
CBD shouldn’t make you feel drowsy or tired yet everyone responds to it in different ways. We would therefore, encourage you to try the product when you are not required to drive or operate machinery until you are sure how your body responds and what dosage you require.
No. All hemp products must contain undetectable levels of THC to be sold legally in the UK and Europe and the quantities are so small there is little difference. THC is the part of the hemp plant that creates the symptoms associated with taking cannabis. Therefore there are none of the associated symptoms you would get if you took cannabis.
People across the globe are seeing huge benefits and improvements in quality of life from taking CBD. Unfortunately, because all Hempura CBD products are sold as food supplements only, Hempura is unable to offer any medical advice around the use of CBD Oil.
It is fine to add CBD oil to tea or coffee if it has been allowed to cool first. We would not advise putting CBD oil into boiling/very hot water as it may change the composition of cannabinoids and other compounds.
If you wanted a drink after using the oil sublingually, any drink is fine.
There are zero reported cases of a CBD overdose. CBD is generally regarded as safe by the FDA for human consumption. We always recommend that you start with a lower dosage (10-15mg per day) until you find the level your body is comfortable at.
If using CBD when baking items such as cookies then you can safely freeze it. Because the carrier is an oil, it doesn’t actually freeze the CBD but solidifies it.
If you are struggling with the taste of the CBD oil, whilst adding it to your food might help, the benefit of oil products is that they are taken sublingually (under the tongue). This gives CBD a good bioavailability as it’s absorbed directly into the blood. Ingesting the oil will reduce the bioavailability as it needs to go through the digestive tract and liver first. You could always try our delicious white chocolates instead.
There are mixed reports about whether your body can become immune to CBD, but it is pretty unlikely, although there is potential for slight tolerance to build up. This is why starting low and slowly working up (uptitration method) is so important as it finds the right levels of cannabinoids for your body. If you are taking high doses (40-50mg) and find it is not working as well as it used to, try taking a break for a week before starting again at a reduced dose.
Yes, but CBD oil has a long shelf life of up to 2 years. All of our products have a use-by date and we try to keep batches as fresh as possible. You can read more about CBD oil expiry in our article here: https://www.hempura.co.uk/articles-and-research/does-cbd-oil-expire/
It is entirely personal preference. You can take it with or without food, before or after food. If users feel sensitive to the compounds when they first begin taking CBD oil we recommend taking after food.
No. Hempura products do not contain artificial flavours or colours.
Yes. Hempura hemp oil is naturally rich in omega-3 (including omega-3 SDA, which is a more potent form of the fatty acid), as well as containing omega-6 GLA.
No. Hempura products are manufactured with a full-plant, hemp-derived CBD extract.
It is possible to find CBD products on the market that are manufactured form CBD isolate. This means the CBD crystal has been extracted from hemp and is then added back into a filler. These products do not contain the full array of the cannabinoids and terpenes found in our extracts.
All Hempura vape liquids contain the following ingredients only:
It is likely that a very tiny amount will get absorbed into the bloodstream although we would not recommend that you count it towards your daily dose.
To take any of our CBD oil range you use individual raindrops ? under the tongue (sublingual), allowing any drops to absorb for around 90 seconds will suffice. Keeping the extract inside the mouth for as long as possible will maximise absorption.
Our CBD chocolates contain the same extract in measured pieces. These pieces can be melted underneath the tongue as an easy alternative to drops of oil.
You can then easily use the drops to control the dosage.
Do not worry about getting it exact or taking a tiny bit too much as CBD is very safe, even in high amounts.
Any remaining oil can then be moved around the mouth and gums or swallowed – followed by a drink if necessary.
You can hide this FAQ by tapping on the title again.
Our skin lotion can be applied in small amounts directly as needed. Topically is not a recommended way to ingest CBD into the body, but rather treat the skin itself.
This means you are able to combine the skin cream with other products without the need to worry about taking too much CBD.
For our CBD vape liquids, we typically recommend using inhalations, starting from a few per day and gradually increasing until you feel the benefit before maintaining.
It is harder to dose accurately with a vape, but also difficult to offer accurate CBD vaping dose advice, as nearly every device and user is different in the way they vape.
Vaping CBD has the highest absorption of all methods, so do not worry too much about the dosage, and use inhalations to control treatment instead.
We recommend that you place the chocolate underneath your tongue and allow it absorb. This may take a couple of minutes. Keeping the product inside the mouth for as long as possible will maximise absorption. You may then move it around the mouth and gums and swallow any remaining chocolate.
If this is your first experience of CBD capsules, we recommend simply taking just 1-2 capsules per day (10-20mg) until the end of the packet. Our bodies don’t need a large dose of CBD to reap the impressive benefits associated with it. Taking a capsule is often a much easier method for some than the traditional dropper method. It has none of the associated taste and there is no need to keep it in your mouth for any length of time. It can also be much more convenient to take on the go. An easy addition to your daily routine.
The answer to this question may be slightly different for everyone, but generally, CBD is thought to stay in your system for 5 to 7 days after the initial dose. And for people who do not use CBD on a frequent basis, this time frame maybe even shorter.
This can really depend on the user. Some say immediately within 30mins, others say a few weeks. It comes down to each person’s individual endocannabinoid system and which compounds they react to within the mixtures.
There are approximately 200 drops in a 10ml bottle. 1 individual rain-drop equates to roughly around 0.05ml. (200*0.05ml=10ml)
Hempura CBD oils come in 10ml sized bottles:
Hempura products contain <0.03% THC (and CBN) but may still remain in tiny trace amounts. All hemp extracts & products must contain undetectable levels of THC to be sold legally in the UK and Europe.
We recommend new users start low with a dose of around 10-15mg, taken in two doses, evenly spaced throughout the day.
Once you get more familiar with CBD, then you can increase the dose slowly; often done every 5-7 days until such a point where you feel that you are getting the full benefits of the product. This is called the uptitration method (up-tie-tray-shen). Your body only needs a very small amount of the CBD for your body to respond positively.
Positive Trend vs Negative Trend
To help you get a better understanding of how to hit that sweet spot where the benefits are optimum, you can take a look at the bell-chart below. This aptly demonstrates just how increasing your dose of CBD can have a benefit to your body, until such a point when too much puts you on the negative trend. Being on the negative trend can destroy many of the benefits that being on a positive trend can deliver to your body.
If you are sure you are not allergic, a small minority of users do report initial sensitivity and alertness to our extracts as the body is not accustomed to the beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes found within them. We would suggest reducing your dose to 1 drop per day after food for a week (mealtime is usually best) to allow your body to become accustomed. Because specific individuals may be sensitive to cannabinoids, we recommend starting with the smallest dose possible for an extended period, allowing the body time to adjust to the cannabinoids and terpenes present in the extracts. Each user that has followed this advice has not come back to us with further issues. If you still experience problems with 1 drop, we would recommend discontinuing use.
When your body detoxifies, symptoms such as muscle and sore throat, chills, and a headache etc. take place. All of these issues are regular occurrences and is an indication that viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, and other pathogens are being killed. Our immune system tries to remove these toxins, but we are not able to eliminate them quickly enough. As a result, the toxins are capable of causing unpleasant symptoms, and the initial symptoms may even get worse for a short while.
If you take CBD oil and begin to experience the Herxheimer Effect, begin a detoxification protocol. Drink lots of water, a couple of grams of vitamin C, and foods known to work as antioxidants. Your goal is to speed up the process so that the Herxheimer Effect doesn’t linger. Typically, you could feel these effects for 2-3 days, although some people report the adverse side effects for longer. Remember the reason you took cannabidiol in the first place and try to persevere through if possible. People who experience the Herxheimer Effect often stop taking CBD oil within a day or two. If you persist, the adverse side effects should subside. After this happens, users often report everything settles down, and they can continue dosing as usual.

All Hempura CBD products are sold as food supplements only. Therefore we are unable to offer medical advice and would kindly ask that you speak to a medical professional for further advice. If they find it safe to combine CBD with your medication, we would be happy to offer you support in starting CBD.
CBD is considered safe to use with no danger of addiction. Always check for allergies and sensitivity before proper use.
Yes, legally you can take CBD and drive because it doesn’t make you high. CBD, like any purchased from Hempura, must contain <0.03% or undetectable levels of THC (this is the substance that makes you high and could cause impaired driving). We would advise that you get used to taking CBD first, before driving on it, and note if you have any side effects that may impair your driving capability.
The pump functions via a vacuum method. If the product is new or the lid was removed after receipt, it can sometimes take a little while to pump the excess air out in order to dispense the cream. Please keep pumping out the air to draw the cream through until normal flow resumes. Opening the top to see if it’s working will reset this!
Some users find it can take a few weeks for the effects to be felt whilst the cannabinoids are absorbed by the body and distributed.
We recommend that new customers start with 10mg-15mg CBD oil per day (dosage measures provided on product pages) and building your dose up gradually on a weekly basis whilst evaluating how you feel. Our bodies only require very small doses to get all the benefits.

The extract mixed into the hemp seed oil is absolutely prone to variation due to coming from an organically grown hemp material. It is grown outside with zero GMO’s or pesticides etc. meaning it is incredibly difficult to create exactly the same extract when using different harvests. All the natural constituents of hemp, namely the active cannabinoids and terpenes, are present across each batch due to being manufactured by chemists to meet a strict technical specification.
Terpenes are a large and diverse class of organic compounds that are produced by a variety of plants. Terpenes are incredibly fragrant and are what give cannabis it’s incredible aromatic diversity.
You are probably more familiar with terpenes than you realise: limonene for lemon and pinene for pine are two incredibly well-known terpenes.
Like cannabinoids, terpenes interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system. They each have their individual properties and when taken alongside cannabinoids, may produce what is known as the ‘entourage effect’.
People across the globe are seeing huge benefits and improvements in quality of life from taking CBD. Unfortunately, because all Hempura CBD products are sold as food supplements only, Hempura is unable to offer any medical advice around the use of CBD Oil.
The ingredients in the vape liquids are a winterised and filtered CBD rich cannabis sativa hemp extract, VG vegetable glycerin (40%) & PG propylene glycol (60%).
Our capsules contain 100% ground Cannabis Sativa L. Industrial Hemp, meaning nothing has been taken away or removed, they are 100% pure natural cannabis sativa hemp in it’s almost raw state (after decarboxylation). As they are ingested, there is no need to extract anything as your stomach can digest all the organic compounds naturally.
Hempura Original extracts have been left as authentic as possible, straight from the field, producing a complex taste of earthy tones and fragrant, fruity terpenes. It can be an acquired taste, an no artificial flavours or colours are used, the taste is as nature intended.
Hempura Refined extracts have been winterised and filtered, removing all of the unnecessary hemp constituents. This extract is a much lighter taste but has a *reduced* overall cannabinoid profile.
This is the process of placing the oil/ chocolate underneath the tongue and allowing it to absorb. For our oils, 90 seconds will suffice, with the chocolates taking a bit longer to melt. Keeping the product inside the mouth for as long as possible will maximise absorption. You may then move it around the mouth and gums or swallow any remaining oil.
Generally, only compounds above 0.03% of any given solution are able to be detected accurately with modern analytical machines, below these levels, “in analytical chemistry, [the] lower limit of detection, or LOD (limit of detection), is the lowest quantity of a substance that can be distinguished from the absence of that substance (a blank value) with a stated confidence level (generally 99%)” (en.wikipedia.org), but still remain in our extracts at trace levels. The most common techniques used for analysing the cannabinoids in hemp extracts, are high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC; formerly referred to as high-pressure liquid chromatography), and gas chromatography.
Vape oil dosage can be managed via drops or by inhalations. If you know approximately how much liquid you vape per day with your device, you may mix drops into the solution of your own vape juice and vape all day. If vaping on its own, fill the tank and dose using inhalations, rather than drops. This is necessary as it’s difficult to know the dosage in each inhalation due to variations in device, individual, draw, length of hold etc. So start with a few inhalations and slowly increase as necessary.
We recommend that new customers start with 10mg-15mg CBD oil per day (dosage measures provided on product pages) and building your dose up gradually on a weekly basis whilst evaluating how you feel. Our bodies only require very small doses to get all the benefits. For more details about how much CBD oil should be taken please click here.
Whilst we do not advertise or sell our products for animals as it would be against veterinary law in the UK, some users do inevitably give it to their pets. To ensure safety, we offer this general advice: There is no difference between CBD for humans and animals. The usual uptitration dosage method should be applied as per the manual https://hempura.co.uk/articles-and-research/hempura-cbd-guide/
However, for smaller weight beings, we suggest you start around 3-5mg, rather than the 10-15mg due to the weight difference.
We have 2 vape liquids: the 250mg and the 500mg. Both are essentially the same, with one double the concentration of the other. Both are naturally flavoured with citrussy terpenes found in cannabis, contain no artificial flavours or colours and are manufactured with a winterised hemp extract.
Terpene profile (1%): linalool, myrcene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, limonene, terpinolene, and beta-caryophyllene
Nothing has been added to our CBD extracts except organic hemp oil. Nothing has been taken away but uncertainty.
All Hempura CBD products are sold as food supplements only. To this effect, Hempura is unable to offer any medical advice around the use of CBD Oil.
CBD (Cannabidiol) is one of 100+ naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the Cannabis Sativa Hemp plant. When Cannabis Sativa is <0.2% THC (the psychoactive cannabinoid that gets people high), it becomes classed as hemp. A full-plant extract is then taken & the extract is suspended in an oil solution, hence the term CBD oil.
In this small FAQ we will tell you how much CBD to take. To find your unique dose, it is recommended new users employ the very easy method known as the:
Most users tend to dose anywhere around 10-50mg per day, but whatever dose is comfortable for you is the best advice we can give.
For more details about what the correct dose of CBD is, feel free to read our in-depth article here.
You can hide this FAQ by tapping on the title again.
Both types of extract originate from the same special strain of the Cannabis Sativa plant called Industrial Hemp. This is the same plant from which illegal cannabis originates, but, instead, is a strain that does not produce the same unwanted psychoactive effects due to containing very low THC (<0.2%).
Full-Spectrum Original Extract:
Our full-spectrum original extract contains a full-plant spectrum which includes many of the organic compounds found in hemp. This is what gives this extract its potent, earthy taste. As it is left raw, *all* of the cannabinoids and terpenes found in the original hemp are still in there at the original levels. For the refined extracts, inherently any refinement and purification process will slightly *reduce* the overall trace cannabinoid spectrum. This applies to all of the cannabinoids in the extract, but they are still in there at lower trace levels than the original extract. Our broad-spectrum extracts may still, in fact, contain very low THC.
– CBD + other trace cannabinoids (THC: <0.03%)
– Original hemp constituents
This extract contains all the natural components of hemp straight from the field and is our most potent, Original extract.
Broad-Spectrum Refined Extract:
Our broad-spectrum extracts have been winterised & filtered after the original extraction. This allows the compounds to be separated and certain ones removed, leaving a highly activated golden oil, containing only concentrated cannabinoids and terpenes. This process inherently removes small amounts of the other trace cannabinoids from the original extract, meaning it is no longer a true full-spectrum, but rather a refined broad-spectrum extract. This extract is lighter tasting, whilst still possessing the high concentrations of CBD, along with other trace cannabinoids and terpenes.
– CBD + other trace cannabinoids (THC: possible trace levels)
According to guidelines from the Food Standards Agency “Healthy adults are advised to think carefully before taking CBD, and the FSA recommends no more than 70mg a day (about 28 drops of 5% CBD) unless under medical direction. This new precautionary advice is based on recent findings by the government’s Committee on Toxicity (COT).”
Note: We would always advise to start with a small dose of 10-15mg a day and to use the uptitration method to slowly increase your dosage.
The optimal temperature to vape is between 220 and 240 degrees C.
Winterisation is the process of alcohol washing and freezing the initial extract. It is a type of fractionation (also known as fractionate crystallization), which is the general process of separating the triglycerides found in fats and oils, using the difference in their melting points, solubility, and volatility. This process separates the various compounds allowing further filtration to be carried out and produces an ultra-refined final product, but can inherently reduce the trace levels of cannabinoids in the spectrum.
By removing substances such as plant waxes, fats and also chlorophyll which remain in the original extract, it can also improve taste (to some) whilst leaving a highly refined and potent hemp extract with near-zero THC.
For our sublingual oils and vape liquids:
Cannabis Sativa L. Industrial Hemp is used in all our products as it is a legal requirement of all EU CBD products. This is because it is bred to contain very high levels of CBD but very low THC.
When deciding which strength bottle to use, it is important to understand that it is the same extract used in each but in different concentrations. This means any will work as well as each other, but you will require a lot of drops of the lower concentration bottles if you start taking higher doses.
The products on the store are all marked with a specific dosage per measure for your convenience. The higher concentration bottles are better valued over the long term, so if you are planning to supplement with Hempura for a while, we would always recommend the higher concentration bottles.
We would always advise to go with what works best for you so try taking it at different times to see what feels best. If you are just starting off then perhaps try taking it in two doses split evenly throughout the day.
We would advise you to store your products somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight. There is no need to store it in a fridge but you can do so if you wish.
We use a UK grown natural, food-grade hemp seed oil as a carrier oil for our range of CBD oils (except for the vape oil). Hemp seed oil is considered to be one of the world’s healthiest oils and is rich in Omega 3 and 6.
This short FAQ will take you through the steps you need to take to easily decide the right CBD products for you.
There are three common methods of treating yourself with CBD: vaping, under the tongue and ingestion.
Vaping is said to have the highest levels of absorption1 but is the least popular due to difficulty with devices and also restraint/control of dose.
Vape and sublingual are absorbed almost direct to the bloodstream via the lungs and saliva glands, respectively.
Ingestion (capsules) is said to be the lowest levels of absorption due to having to pass via the gut and intestines.
The body reacts differently to ingested cannabinoids, so we feel it is unfair to directly compare ingestion with other methods. We have many customers that assert the capsules to be our most effective CBD product for them. Many combine two products; some even use a combination.
We would recommend to not discredit dosage methods solely due to their expected bioavailability and absorption rates – as you may be missing out.
Pick a method that suits you.
You have chosen your method, now, which concentration CBD product should you order?
The highest concentration products are better valued over the long term, meaning if you are a regular, or are planning to take for the foreseeable to aid with your health, then we would always recommend the higher concentration 1000mg bottles.
If you are looking to try CBD and don’t want to order a high concentration bottle, any of the concentrations are adequate to give CBD a genuine try by just using it to the end of the bottle.
The positives of the higher concentrations bottle: 1) it is easy to take higher dosages, 2) you require less oil/drops in the mouth to reach your dosage requirements, 3) it is cheaper over the long term, 4) the bottle will last you longer, 5) you have to order less frequently.
Having undergone minimal refinement and filtration processes, you can be sure all of the ORIGINAL levels of cannabinoids, terpenes and other compounds found in the original extract are in there.
Our most potent, Original extract – with a similarly impressive taste.
It has been refined and filtered to remove all the extra unnecessary hemp constituents – leaving the highly beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes.
This extract has a much lighter taste, but likely a microscopically lower overall cannabinoid profile. The variance is so small modern analytical machinery can barely tell the difference, so we advise not to worry too much about it.
All our products are fantastic and manufactured to the highest standards. Pick a product that suits you and you feel comfortable with; you can’t really get it wrong.
If you are uncertain how to control using drops, check out our how do I take CBD oil? FAQ – it is a good read.
And that’s it, we hope! If not, please let us know where we went wrong, and we’ll update this FAQ if necessary.
The Hempura CBD product range is manufactured to the highest standards using an organic wheat-based ethanol extraction method (no gluten!).
Ethanol extraction is ideal for producing high-quality full-spectrum extracts. It increases the bio-availability of vitamins, allows for Ester formation and results in an incredibly high-quality distillate. Ethanol extraction not only delivers an incredibly robust and high-quality product, but it is also one of the safest of the extraction methods currently being used across the industry today. It is effective and clean when used in the extraction of terpenes and cannabinoids. It is “generally regarded as safe” by the FDA and is already used in many foods and medicines around the world.
Ethanol extraction refers to the method used to derive the usable forms of CBD from the Hemp plant itself. Butane, ethanol and CO2 are the most common methods of extraction. Recent developments have shown that ethanol extraction is a fantastic extraction method for hemp, as it allows the integrity of the molecular structure and the terpene profile to remain intact.
Pure ethanol evaporates without leaving harmful residues, leaving behind a rich CBD concentrated full-plant extract. This Original Extract is the beginning of the entire Hempura range, with some further refining required to produce our Refined Extracts. Hempura products undergo various processes during manufacture such as decarboxylation, filtration, winterisation and more, depending on the technical specification of the end product being manufactured at the time.
Many users combine both methods. There are a number of different factors which are important to consider when deciding between CBD oils and CBD capsules. These are:
Taking a capsule is often a much easier method for some than the traditional dropper method. It has none of the associated taste and there is no need to keep it in your mouth for any length of time. It can also be much more convenient to take on the go. An easy addition to your daily routine.
For an in-depth read, see our article Are CBD Capsules as Effective as Drops?
Vaping is the quickest and most effective method of absorbing CBD as it is absorbed directly into your bloodstream via the lungs, followed by sublingual dosing and then edibles. Each usage type can affect the user differently, so no one is better than the others.
The common terpenes found across most of the Hempura product range are (1%): linalool, myrcene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, limonene, terpinolene, and beta-caryophyllene.
Putting it under the tongue (sublingually) helps it to bypass the digestive system and the processing of the liver, and instead, it passes directly into the bloodstream.
The THC levels in Hempura CBD products are now <0.03% to remain legally compliant, with only a minor process change to the original extract required. There is no change in the amount of CBD present in the products.
To make the extract suitable for a vape it must undergo winterisation to completely remove all unnecessary hemp constituents such as chlorophyll, fats, lipids etc. This will leave only the cannabinoids and terpenes from the full plant spectrum behind – giving us a broad-spectrum refined extract. Without doing this the extract would damage the vape device.
The THC (and CBN) levels in all Hempura products are of trace & undetectable levels (<0.03%) to ensure our products are 100% legal and safe - similar to how alcohol-free beers must contain no more than <0.05% alcohol.
Over time, if taking any Hempura CBD product, tiny contaminant levels of THC in any of our products may build-up in the body with sustained treatment. THC is stored in the fat cells and released slowly over time, allowing quantities to remain detectable in your body for longer durations of time when compared to CBD.
All Hempura extracts undergo THC removal, removing the THC to undetectable levels in every product. But, as the extracts are ultimately coming from organically grown cannabis sativa hemp material, there are potentially microscopic contaminant amounts that are unable to be removed without damaging the authenticity and quality of the extracts. The THC levels in our full-spectrum original extracts may generate a visible result much sooner; having undergone less filtration.
If you are in a role with potential testing, we would recommend sensible consideration. Sportspeople are known to ‘cycle’ using our products to reduce any potential risk, taking the oil for short periods of time with regular breaks. This method may ensure levels are unable to build up sufficiently to be visible, but there is no guarantee.
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is widely regarded for its wellbeing properties, though globally we are still learning about this incredible compound! The therapeutic benefits of CBD are still being researched and uncovered today, having been first isolated and identified back in 1963, though there is already extensive scientific research supporting the positive characteristics of this cannabinoid. Cannabidiol won’t get you high – our CBD oil comes from the strain of the Cannabis Sativa plant known as ‘Industrial Hemp’, which has been used in health and beauty products, as a clothing and building material, and for its wellbeing properties for thousands of years.
CBD has a very low level of the psychoactive cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) present in the plant, compared to the psychoactive Marijuana strain of the Cannabis Sativa plant. It is the THC content that determines whether a product is classed as a controlled substance under UK law or not, and all CBD products must contain a THC level of 0.2% or less to be considered legal in the UK.
To find out more about the legal status of CBD Oil products, please visit our knowledge centre. In Hempura’s range of CBD oil products, there are only microscopic levels of THC present (at an undetectable level of less than 0.05%), but all of our extracts still retain the full spectrum of beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes that many find boost their wellbeing.
Every Hempura product has the CBD content clearly labelled and dosage recommendations explained on the packaging. If you are just starting taking CBD and have chosen a product that doesn’t contain pre-measured CBD oil (for example, our Original and Refined CBD oils, rather than our CBD chocolates or capsules), we recommended that you start with a low dose of around 10-15mg, taken in two doses, evenly spaced throughout the day.
Once you get more familiar with CBD (and the effect that it has on your balance and wellbeing) you can increase the dose slowly, perhaps every 5-7 days, until you reach a point where you feel that you are getting the full benefit of the product.
There are a number of different ways that you can incorporate Hempura CBD products into your day-to-day life and find the dosage that works best for you. Our range of high-quality CBD products includes:
Hempura also provides a number of ‘bundles’ of our CBD products, perfect if you want to invest in several items from our range and would like to benefit from a special price. If you would like to find out more about finding the correct dosage of CBD for you, please visit our knowledge centre.
The Industrial hemp we use to manufacture all Hempura products is sourced from carefully selected, highly regulated EU farms. The hemp is organically grown and free from herbicides, pesticides and fungicides. Each harvest is carefully and comprehensively tested before purchase and before entering the UK, and further testing is carried out throughout the manufacturing process to ensure the consistency and quality of our products.
At Hempura, we take our customers health and safety seriously, which is why we carefully and comprehensively lab test every single batch of our CBD oil products to ensure consistent high quality.
Hempura is also proud to be registered with the Vegan Society, and all of our products (except our dairy chocolates) are registered as vegan thanks to the fact that they meet the strict Vegan Society standards, which ensure:
